Details
This unique wristwatch has been in my personal collection for a couple of years but, as I cannot keep all the special timepieces that come through my hands, from time to time, I make a few available so someone else to enjoy them as I have.
Manufactured in Switzerland this Mocell branded wristwatch was manufactured by the Era Watch Company which recently celebrated its 140 year anniversary, and I would date this watch to the 1920's
or
30's.
The fancy engraved chrome-over-brass case measures 24.8 mm / 0.98" across, excluding crown and lugs, and surrounds a very well preserved, beige and silver dial complimented by flawless back cut-out breguet black hands, a beige frame with gothic black and beige Arabic numbers, a tuxedo silver center pane, and sub-second dial @ 6 o'clock.
The Swiss 6 jewel, with 2 adjustments movement, signed Era Watch Company, sets and winds smoothly, is running great and keeping good time.
I have fitted it with a new, 20 mm,, genuine leather, black embossed and stitched, 2-piece strap with stainless buckle.
