VIntage 1960 Wittnauer men's gold dress Swiss 17 jewel wristwatch, running well!

We are happy to offer this vintage 1960 men's Wittnauer Revue, Swiss, 17 jewel gold dress wristwatch.

The 10K Tank (Rectangular) GOLD FILLED case measures 18.5 mm X 20.8 mm, excluding crown and lugs, and surrounds a silver dial complimented by gold stick hour and minute hands, raised gold # 12 and baton markers, and sub-second dial @ 6 o'clock, all under a bright, clear crystal.

Please note that there is some discoloration in the bottom left quadrant of the dial.

The 17 jewel, Swiss, cal. 84/1, manual wind movement sets and winds as it should, is running strong, and keeping good time.

The stainless steel, snap-down back is engraved C.E.G. 12-25-60, Christmas Day 66 years ago!

It is matched with a premium Cranster, genuine leather stitched brown 2-piece strap with gold buckle in very good condition that will fit up to a 7 1/2" wrist.

Leadership: After the death of the last Wittnauer brother in 1916, Martha Wittnauer became the first female CEO of a watch company, leading the brand until 1936.

Acquisition and Legacy: In 1936, the Wittnauer family sold the company, and it became part of the Longines-Wittnauer Company.

Although the family was no longer involved, the brand continued to produce quality watches, maintaining its
