Strong running vintage WWII, 1940's, Swiss Exim men's military well-preserved 16 jewel wristwatch.

I often wonder what stories some of these watches that cross my desk over the years as is the case with this WWII, 1940's military EXIM men's wristwatch.

Manufactured in Switzerland by the Select Watch Company, it features a, all stainless steel case and back that measures 28.9 mm / 1/14" in diameter, excluding crown and lugs, that surrounds a beautiful aged gold dial complimented by, once luminous but now dimmed, black syringe hour and minute hands, black Arabic numbers, black outer chapter, and sub-second dial @ 6 o'clock.

The Swiss 16 jewel, incabloc movement sets and winds as it should, is running great, and keeping excellent time.

The screw-down back is of particular interest as it is engraved BRVET followed by a medical cross and the numbers 201679 which indicates the original owner of this watch had achieved a higher, BREVET, status, perhaps in the medical field.

If anyone out there can shed any light on the mystery, please let me know.

It is matched with a vintage, stainless steel Speidel bracelet.
