HISTORY OF THE ESKA WATCH COMPANY:

Eska Watch Company, founded in 1918 by Sylvan Kocher in Grenchen, Switzerland, was known for its classic and elegant timepieces, particularly in emerging markets like Brazil and the United States.

The company, originally named S. Kocher & Co., was a successful manufacturer of both dress and utilitarian watches, including chronographs and ultra-thin models, and even had a presence in the jewelry watch market.

Eska also established a production facility in Brazil. However, like many Swiss watchmakers, Eska struggled with the quartz crisis of the 1970s and 1980s and ceased operations in 1987.

A new iteration of the brand was launched in 2019, celebrating its centenary and reintroducing some of its classic designs.
