Men's vintage 1940's Swiss Rosieres 17 jewel manual wind military wristwatch. Running well and keeping time!

We are delighted to offer this very rare Rosieres men's vintage 1940's military wristwatch!

Manufactured in Switzerland by Adolf Allemann & Fils SA, it features a 33.3 mm / 1.31" diameter brass case, excluding crown and lugs.

The dial is a well-preserved parchment color that is complimented by, once luminous but now dimmed, black leaf hour and minute hands, the typical military red center sweep, bold Arabic numbers, and crisp outer chapter, all under a bright clear crystal.

The Swiss 17 jewel, cal. LOA movement sets and winds as it should, is running strong, and keeping good time.

It is shock protected and anti-magnetic with a stainless steel, screw-down back and is matched with a stitched genuine leather strap with gold buckle.

The engraving on the movement 'Rosieres W.Co.' (Rosieres Watch Co.) is the English name for Manufacture d'Horlogerie Rosières - Adolf Allemann & Fils SA / Manufacture d'Horlogerie Rosières which also belongs to Adolf Allemann and was most likely been used especially when watches were exported. 'Rosieres' is a city/location in Switzerland.
