This is a beautiful, all original, 1940's, vintage, very rare WWII military Obera wristwatch from Fritz Meyer, founder of Roamer Watch Company, in Switzerland in 1888.

The chrome over brass polished case surrounds it's original black dial complimented by once luminous, now dimmed, white hour and minute hands, red sweep second hand, and white numbers and outer chapter.

Please note that this watch is a much smaller men's timepiece then those found today. And, due to its small size, it may appeal to women who would like to have a vintage timepiece from the WWII era.

The Swiss 17 jewel, incabloc, cal. RYP, movement has just been serviced, cleaned, oiled, and adjusted. It sets and winds effortlessly, is running strong and keeping very good time.

This unique, and beautiful in its own way, timepiece features a snap down back and has been fitted with a new genuine leather brown bund strap with stainless buckle which suits it beautifully.

Only certain people will appreciate a vintage timepiece like this. To me, it's like an old soldier sitting on a park bench with a lot of stories to tell that are well worth listening to. We should take the time to do so.

Treasures like this should be appreciated for what they are, not tossed aside in our ever popular disposable society.
