This vintage Leon Piradet men's dress wristwatch from the 1970's has a interesting back story.
My research tells me that Leon Piradet was a private label watch company using very reliable Soviet movements and built to a high standard. I think this one is particularly handsome and would be a very nice addition to any gentleman's vintage collection.
The chrome case, measures 34 mm across, excluding crown and lugs, and surrounds a flawless silver dial complimented by gold hour, minute, and sweep second hands, raised gold markers, and date window at 3 o'clock.
The reliable 17 jewel Russian Vostok cal 2414 movement, manufactured at the Second Moscow Watch Factory, serial # 0485563, sets and winds effortlessly and is keeping good time.
It has a screw-down back and is matched with a supple stitched genuine leather brown strap with stainless buckle.
