This vintage Japanese 21 jewel, autowind Ricoh wristwatch is not only handsome and well preserved, it will provide some lucky gentleman years of quality service.
The all stainless steel case with hooded lugs measures 1.49" X 1.61", excluding crown, and surrounds a deep black subtle sunburst dial, complimented by silver luminous hour and minute hands, silver center sweep, luminous olive numbers, and white outer chapter.
It is signed Ricoh, 21 jewels, shockproof, and features day and quick-set date windows at 3 o'clock.
The 21 jewel movement has been recently restored to its original condition, sets smoothly, and is keeping excellent time. (Please remember that automatic watches must be hand wound or shaken for a short time when wound down to apply pressure to the mainspring. When worn and remaining active it will continue to wind with the natural movement of your wrist.)
It has a stainless steel, screw-down back, a clear bright crystal and is all original except for a newly installed 18mm stitched black with contrasting white stitching, man-made leather strap with stainless buckle.

About the brand:
You may not be familiar with Ricoh other than their stellar reputation in manufacturing office machines for decades.
They have a rich history, however, dating back to early sophisticated cameras and equipment and fine watches, that for about 40 years successfully competed with the giant Japanese manufacturers, Citizen, and Seiko.
Although all Ricoh products have enjoyed a reputation of being on the cutting edge of development and quality, relatively little has been written about them and, as they closed their watchmaking facilities decades ago, quality Ricoh vintage watches are becoming exceedingly difficult to find.
All our watches are shipped free of charge domestic, first class mail while International Shipments are shipped Priority Mail International with insurance for a flat $34.00 fee (Canada may be slightly less).
