Vintage men's 1970's Serviced Swiss 17 jewel Camy green dial wristwatch, running great!

Manufactured in Switzerland in the 1970's by Camy this is a genuine restored and serviced men's 17 jewel wristwatch with an unblemished chrome plated case that measures 35 mm across, excluding crown and lugs.

The repainted military dial is green complimented by white hour, minute, and sweep second hands, white Roman numerals and outer chapter.

The Swiss 17 jewel, manual wind unsigned movement has just been cleaned and serviced, is running well and keeping very good time.

It is shock proof with a stainless steel, snap-down back and has been fitted with a supple new man-made brown leather strap with stainless buckle.

CAMY, was founded in Grenchen in 1913.

The company seems to be something of an enigma, despite producing watches for over 60 years, there is very little information about their history.

Their major claim to fame seems to be that Raymond Weil worked there for 26 years before leaving to start his own company in 1976.

There are however lots of Camy watches still around, and like a lot of watch companies, they produced their most interesting models during the 1970′s
